‘Afterimage’ Exhibition Design for Kaori Homma_2019
Sited within St Georges chapel in Romney
Marsh, near Dungeness B Power Station, the installation was commissioned to hold up a series of fire etchings by artist Kaori Homma who’s work explores the paradoxical relationship between humanity and the environment. Due to the fragile and decayed nature of the site I chose to deploy 3D scanning as a non intrusive method surveying the interior. A series of armatures were designed in response to the physical features of the space, removing the need for any permanent fixtures, thereby leaving the fabric of the building untouched
